Annualised Hours
Annualised hours provide a way of organising working time by contracting to work an agreed number of hours per year rather than a standard number of hours each week.
Over the year, you will work an ‘average’ of your contracted hours each week, although the actual number of hours worked by yourself during the week will then be "flexed" to match workload requirements. As well as hours being varied week to week, they may also be varied seasonally and / or according to fluctuation of service demands.
Annualised hours are used to match attendance of employees to the periods when they are most needed by the service in which they are employed.
