Traumatic Events
Working in Health and Social care, staff, teams and managers can experience traumatic events and may need some support following such events.
TRiM is a peer support programme which is designed to assist people who have been exposed to a traumatic event to deal with it effectively. People who experience traumatic events often experience a wide range of reactions. Quite what reaction an individual will have is not easy to predict. Some people may find that an incident has little or no effect upon them; other experience very strong reactions. These reactions can affect people's ability to work effectively or impact sustainability on their home and social life. To support people suffering from a traumatic event NHS Grampian can offer access to TRiM practitioners. For more information contact: gram.trim@nhs.scot
