Tax-Free Childcare Scheme

The Childcare Voucher scheme was replaced with a new Childcare Savings scheme in October 2018.  Tax-Free Childcare can provide up to 20% savings towards your childcare costs and further information can be found from the following web-site:

Child Benefit

You get Child Benefit if you’re responsible for one or more children under 16 (or under 20 if they stay in approved education or training). There’s no limit to how many children you can claim for. For further information on Child Benefits please visit the link below:

Child Tax Credit

You may be able to claim Child Tax Credit if you’re responsible for children either:

  • aged 16 or under - you can claim up until 31 August after their 16th birthday
  • under 20 and in eligible education or training

Please note you can only make a claim for Working Tax Credit if you already get Child Tax Credit.
